Here is another Taiwanese actor and model Lan Cheng Long (b. 1979, 5′11″) who is stirring up the hearts of the ladies. Like many other aspiring actors, he started out doing bit-part modeling before landing a roll in “The Outsiders” TV series that made him popular. You can find videos from some of his TV shows on youtube.

South Korean actor Kwong Sang Woo (b. 1976, 6′0″) is the very definition of masculinity and charm. Prior to acting he had his stint as a minor model. His popularity rose with his rolls in soap dramas and then onto film roles. With an impressive physique, Kwon is considered part of the new vogue of mom-zzang or “great body” movement made popular within the last few years in S. Korea. Among this group is also included the likes of Bae Yong Joon, Kim Sung Soo, Oh Ji Ho, etc.

For those unaware, Tak Toyoshima has a great comic strip (now syndicated) written from an Asian male’s perspective. It is very, very funny and on-the-spot social commentary. Check it out under “strip” at SecretAsianman.com.

Jeffrey Zheng (b. 1981, 6′2″) from China is the reigning Mr. Manhunt International 2007. Reared in a middle class family from Liaoning Province, he eventually went on to study computer sciences in Canada for 3 years. Tired of the routine office work, tried his hand in modeling and eventually won the 2007 Manhunt International competition. Props for portraying and contributing to a positive image of Asian masculinity. The idea of an Asian guy winning an international male modeling competition was unheard of 10 or 15 years ago … slowly, things can be improved.
